I was fortunate to be at the Midway Tavern last night. What a great, great show. The band and the crowd raised the roof! What a blast! I've heard your group before and have both CD's but believe me and this is no made up commercial, you guys were fantastic! Just pure love of the show! Excellent! See you soon, Daddy G.

I've kept my comments to myself too long, time to unleash, my TRUE opinions about this band!
In order from stage left?
Denny Love,.. Superior tone, dynamics, feel, and a powerful technique that amazes me when he unleashes it, because he never overplays, shares a creative and playful attitude on stage with JR's powerful drummer, T. & T......
Timson, also playful and always creative in performance, delivers deep blues, groove, swing, or R & B smooth rhythms with ease while playing amazing solos that JR's audiences love.
Across the stage, one of my brothers of the black and whites, and someone I was a fan of before the band, B.W.B. … Bob drives that wonderful left hand, with boogie woogie mayhem, and plays solos that sparkle and delight, with the other.
Oh my Gosh, there’s Tim King, from silky smooth to talkin’ dirty with that Sax! A class act on that horn. J.R.’s crowds always react when Timmy sends them the love! If you’ve heard him, you know what I’m talkin’ ‘bout!
J.R. Clark,
Met him on stage while playing at a blues jam. Suddenly heard a deep felt, beautifully toned semi-hollow body blues rhythm, turned to see this clean cut white guy, havin' a ball. We had great fun, and I totally enjoyed J.R.'s combination of mastery on slide, as well as his cleanly delivered fiery leads.
J.R.s music constantly evolves, and he consistently but playfully challenges his band with new repertoire. A wildly entertaining front man who is always a ball to play the blues with, he has a great feel and a wonderful sound.
Sorry about the brevity of this note, didn’t have room to elaborate;-)
Tommy's gesture sums it up!
Student of the Blues,
SweetRay

Saw you at Zimmy's last Saturday and loved your band. Any chance you'll make it further south, as in South Bend? Gave your contact info to Nick Simeri who owns Simeri's Old Town Tap. Great place to rock in the summer! Hope to see you there

We came from Grand Rapids and had the pleasure of seeing you Friday night at the State in Kzoo - you guys kick ass! I swore JR was channeling Roy Buchanan at times. We're in your top photo on the homepage - front row - I'm in the cheetah jacket - my best friend of 15 years is the biker next to me with the long grey beard. We'll come see you any chance we get and are spreading the word to all our friends - rock on!

My wife and I seen you at Wonderfuls in Kalamazoo. I've followed and played music for 40 years, but I've never seen anyone as good as J.R. We sat 10 feet from him and were amazed at what we were so lucky to see. I've finally found this web site, so hopefully we'll be able to see him soon. What is your schedule?
